Amazon.com Doing for tigers what The Bear did for Grizzlies and Kodiaks, Two Brothers offers lush adventure with a message that anyone can take to heart. French filmmaker Jean-Jacques Annaud directed both films, blessing them with his keen eye for beauty and a love for wildlife that's as impassioned as it is infectious. This time, the adorable critters are Kumal and Sangha, sibling tiger cubs in French Indochina circa 1920, separated when a treasure-hunting adventurer (Guy Pearce) inadvertently leads them to capture. He makes amends by defending their right to freedom, but before that can happen, the now-grown tigers must endure cruel treatment that younger viewers (and sensitive adults) may find somewhat traumatic. There's a purpose to their ordeal, however, and Annaud (along with a world-class tiger trainer, 30 different tigers, and minimal use of digital trickery) films this uplifting story as a child's fable, with equal measures of danger and irresistible charm. As a family-friendly plea to protect endangered tigers everywhere, Two Brothers is cute, cuddly, and easily recommended. --Jeff Shannon

If you love tigers or animals, you will surely love this movie. July 30, 2008 The story is touching. The movie contains beautiful scenes. All the tiger's participation look very real and interesting. The film cleary shows how cruel some people are to animals.
Of course it has some logical problem but it does not reduce its entertaing value.
It's definitely a good family film.
Enjoyable for some but it's not for everyone. June 6, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It appears that this movie was either made or funded by the World Wildlife Fund and is obviously intended to persuade children to help support the survival of the remaining Tigers in the wild. Consider it a propaganda film for tigers, if you will. Humans are bad and don't understand the tigers and want to kill them all. Tigers are good and kind and will not hurt you if you are kind to them. A little reality please! Tigers are wild animals and just like any other wild animal they are extremely dangerous and deadly. This does not mean that they should be hunted to extinction or have their habitat destroyed. The tiger and its habitat are in danger of extinction and we need to prevent this from happening. There is nothing more beautiful to see than a tiger in the wild. Is propaganda the way to do this? I think not. Educate children, show them the beauty of nature and of all creatures and they will strive to understand and preserve them.
Now about the movie itself; the photography and sound are excellent. The beauty and sounds of the tigers are fully expressed in the movie. The storyline as others have said is somewhat depressing, except for the ending, and unrealistic most of the time but what the heck, this is a movie. I enjoyed it but would not recommend it for sensitive children. If you are an animal lover and not too sensitive I believe you will enjoy it too.
Two Brothers video March 22, 2008 Freddie Highmore at his best. It is a very moving story. You do get involved in the story. Excellent footage on the tigers. Really enjoyed the movie and have watched it several times in the past year.
Item just as described January 12, 2008 I was completely satisfied with this purchase. Item was just as described on Amazon and delivered in a timely manner. Thanks!
Two Brothers November 12, 2007 Two Brothers is an eye opener. This will make you cry, laugh and realize how our actions affect the lives of animals around us.
