Missing pages October 13, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was a great book and has lots of good info but mine was missing pages 361-408, which included 45ACP.
Vital reference work July 25, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a must have reference for shooters who want to be at the cutting edge in knowledge of the ballistic performance of their various firearms. It is a comprehensive collection of data on all available factory ammo loads. It is well laid out, easy to access information for the shooter who wants to know accurate details about the ammunition in use. Don't be without it if you are getting ready to purchase a new caliber or want to know just how to sight in any firearm in your current collection.
Great for hunters, allright for shooters and collectors July 21, 2008 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
First off the book is well written and easy to read, covering all sorts of load data on MOST modern cartridges. However, the main part where this book lacks is that it has a total focus on hunting, and so it leaves out a lot of military calibers. The calibers I did not see in here are: 7.62x54 Russian 6.5 Grendel 5.45 Soviet .50 BMG .408 Chay-Tac 5.7x28 9mm, .40, .45, etc. in carbine data
It would also be nice if the book had a description of different bullet types, with their internal and external ballistic attributes
So I would recommend this book, but know that it leaves out quite a few modern military calibers.
WOW! What a Piece of work. May 31, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bob Forker has done a unbelievable amount of work to put this book together. Very helpful to me as a reloader. Gives me many ideas about how a particular load can be expected to perform at various ranges. Author's Notes in the front are FULL of Basic answers to questions we all have as reloaders. Highly recommended!
The best available February 16, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book is the best available on the various ballistics of almost every caliber that is made.It is laid out where you can find and use the info in the book.Recommended to anyone who needs to know what their ammo is supposed to do from 0 to 500 yards.
