Brilliant In Its Simplicity August 17, 2008 I purchased this product to brush up on my math skills prior to taking the GMAT exams. The Math Video Tutor is essentially a small white board, the author's hand with a marker, and his voice guiding you through the exercises. There are no distractions and the lessons are extremely clear. After watching this DVD, my practice test scores improved significantly and I ultimately survived the GMAT and made it into my graduate school of choice. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs a high school math review, whether it's to help your kids with their homework, or in my case, to prepare for graduate school entrance exams!
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! July 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have always wanted to learn Algebra and I was very happy when I got my DVD. I'm really glad I didn't listen to those people with those bad reviews. There was nothing wrong with the quality of the video unless you are expecting HD??? The video quality is good and the teacher explains everything in detail. Once again not only did it meet my expectations but it surpassed it. I am so happy to finally have begun to learn Algebra that now I will feel comfortable talking my GMAT test. I want to take this moment and thank the teacher and creator of this video. THANK YOU BIG TIME!!!!!!!

Scared to death of Algebra? June 12, 2008 Having been out of school for more years than I can remember the one thing that frightened me the most was Algebra. I was horrible in this subject in school. Even with a tutor I got a D in Algebra 1 and 2. It never made any sense to me, but that is rapidly changing now. I am able to understand it better as it was presented in a very clear and concise way. Jason is a wonderful teacher and even shows a side that we all make mistakes as we are human, but to be able to recognize the mistake and fix it made me even more comfortable. I am rapidly solving problems on my own now and send many thanks for this and all of your wonderful products! There is a companion workbook to this as well which I have ordered to practice my skills even further...great idea!
A bit disappointing June 1, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this two-disk DVD and looked forward to refreshing my knowledge of mathematics. I realize there need not be much rehearsal for this type of training aid, but I was a bit disappointed as a mistake was made during part of a presentation and not corrected later.
In short, I do not recommend it.
Good stuff May 31, 2008 I have all his DVD's. The lessons are great. They cover the basics that are important in the class. Of course not all information is covered in the DVD's. Think of it as an overview of hot topics. I have used these DVD's before I took a class and them reviewed them along the way. I also have purchased some of the idoit and dummy guides as a type of work book. They all together give you a different way to look at the math martial. Because as you know, most math books are written by brainy math folks, and they are not the easiest to follow.
