FIELD DRESSING - The simplest and most common technique used to care for big game. Highly refined method with expert tips and advice.

FIELD BUTCHERING - If you have ever quartered a big game animal, you know this is a lot of work. Here is a better technique! No need to "gut" the animal! Cleaner, faster, and easier than quartering! If you pay by the pound for game processing, field butchering will save you lots of money $$$. Learn this technique and you'll never go back to quartering!

SMALL GAME - Small game hunting is a blast! Best of all small game makes excellent table fare. The secret is promptly applying proper field care techniques. Experienced Squirrel hunters will be amazed at how easily a Squirrel can be skinned.

CASE SKINNING PREDATORS - Most successful hunters will want to case skin predators. The furs can then be taken to the taxidermist for tanning or sold to the fur market. Besides just showing you how to skin a coyote, we'll demonstrate some tricks of the trade that serious fur handlers use to make it a whole lot easier.

A comprehensive course for hunting both East and West. Complete coverage of equipment selection. Care of meat and hides. Discussion of hunter concerns including wildlife diseases

5 out of 5 stars Helped me in real life   October 25, 2008
I went hunting recently in Wyoming. After the animal was down and things looked stable, my hunting party left me with my first big game animal to field dress and butcher it...alone.

I watched this video at home multiple times before I went into the field. Not only was I able to take care of the animal for the first time by myself, but I was able to cape it appropriately for a shoulder mount - which my taxidermist in WY says was "perfectly done" for a shoulder mount.

I wanted to say what an excellent video this is. Without it, I'd have been lost just sitting there in the field with no idea what to do. It showed me exactly how to gut the animal as well as how to field butcher it.

5 out of 5 stars Very informative and well done!   October 11, 2007

This DVD is a great resource for the new and the experienced hunter. I am a hunter education instructor and will use this in my classes. Hats off to John for taking a difficult subject and making it very easy to understand. The gutless method seems like a great way to process an elk in the field without worrying about any unnecessary weight to pack out. I highly recommend this for all hunters.
