Here’s a nice little video I found on Youtube.com of a hunter taking a turkey with a Muzzleloader. One of my favorite parts about muzzleloaders is the smoke! It’s like a surprise after every shot… “Did I get him?”
Well, the Muzzleloading Deer Hunting season started this weekend for Hunters in Minnesota.. and so far, it’s been relatively warm (for Minnesota that is). There’s no snow on the ground in most areas and the temp’s have been in the 40’s and 50’s for most of this week. Of course, as I’m writing this, the weather seems to be taking a turn for the worse. It’s cold, windy, and the rain is quickly turning to ice.
Looking at the 10 day forecast, it seems that there it’s only going to get worse as the week goes on…. I guess I should have gotten out to the stand on Saturday. But, with it being Thanksgiving weekend and all, we had family in town and it just wasn’t in the cards.
But, I suppose I should be happy that we have a dedicated Muzzleloading deer season at all… I’m just tired of freezing my ass off.
