I could not live without this book January 8, 2009 If only we would all follow the guidance given in this little gem the world would be a peaceful place to reside. If you are thinking about buying this book, you just must. I have read many parenting books - and this book is the one and only I would take with me if parenting "on a deserted island." Buy it, read it, eat it up, you and your family will be the better for it!
Great! January 6, 2009 I am the mom of three, and a child and family therapist, and I love her approach and advice. Not a simple fix, but more of a philosophy, or foundation for parenting. Great book, and her video's are great as well, and great teaching tools for those of us trying to be better parents,or help others to be.
A book for ALL relationships December 26, 2008 I have recommended this book to parents and non-parents alike! The advice that Dr. Bailey gives is wonderful for parents but it is also relevant and applicable to all relationships. I have become a better and more patient person because of this book.
I've bought duplicates for friends! December 16, 2008 I checked this book out several times from our local library but decided to buy a copy for myself when the renewal limit had expired (twice!). I consider it my parenting Bible. I've recommended it widely and even purchased it for friends.
Great Book, Great concepts July 8, 2008 I use Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline system in my classroom and it is amazing the differences it can make. But I got this book to help parents see it from the 'home' view as well. she does an excellent job going through this process step by step and giving many different solutions to common discipline problems. I love it!
