Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Winnie Perry went through a lot when she was eleven, from shifting friendships to her teenage sister's mood swings. But now that Winnie is twelve, and one step closer to being a teenager herself--there is so much more to deal with. Will her new friendship with Dinah last? Can she handle the pressures of junior high? And, most important, will Winnie survive bra shopping (in public!) with Mom?

5 out of 5 stars Best Book Ever   January 4, 2009
In this book it shows a 12 year old girl who is trying to get through seventh grade without getting burned by the mean girls. On the way of this journey she makes a new friend, goes through some changes, and might just arrive at the end of her seventh grade journey with a boyfriend. I beleive this is a great series so far and is great for pre-teen readers 10+.

1 out of 5 stars parents beware!   April 12, 2008
12 out of 15 found this review helpful

This book deceptively makes you think it is for kids 10-12 years of age, but when my daughter asked me to clarify what she was reading- I was shocked!!
It explains in detail several inappropriate and vulgar things, having to do with a boy's sexuality. It is totally unacceptable material for this age group, and I'm shocked that there isn't a warning for parents. This book should be titled "Fifteen" for it is definitely not for anyone younger than that--do not buy this book, which anyway my daughter said was BORING!

3 out of 5 stars not as good as 11   October 7, 2007
I loved 11, so i thought that 12 would be just as good. It isn't.I thought winnie was kind of whinny. I was really disspointed in this book. The stuff in this book made it a little more mature then a 12 year old. There were a lot of things i did like though, It was funny in sertant parts! I thought that her new friend cinnomen was pretty funny. I think that it was interesting when Gail (The mean girl) went to camp and winnie's ex-best friend wanted to be friends again. And when winnie went to camp. But that was about it. So over all there are so good parts and some bad. So it is ok.
