Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Helpful and Organized.   September 30, 2005

I found this book helpful for pastors because of the organized way it describes the four following acts of worship: the funeral, wedding, baptism and the Lord's Supper.

5 out of 5 stars Worship is mans offerings to God   February 27, 2003

Too often the worship "service" is great music, a commercial (sermon) and paying the admission charge (offering). The reality of God's presence is reduced to "warm fuzzy" feelings. Dr. Willimon challenges the Church to look at the Bible, God's directions for honoring Him, and the history of man's offering himself to God.

A worshipper should leave the worship experience knowing that God loves him; that God is not angry with him; that he is God's child. This book does an amazing job at challenging the Worship Leader, Pastor and Priest to provide those experiences that honor God and fulfill the God-given need in man to worhsip his Creator.
