If you purchase Mr. Stephens' first book on X-Shooting, you probably don't need Advanced Master Handgunning. Most of this book summarizes the tips in X-Shooting. Only a few pages discuss shooting moving targets or shooting while moving. Mr. Stephens doesn't share any new training tips. Keep searching if you want a book that covers moving targets and advanced competition shooting.
So, you learned how to shoot handguns? August 26, 2001 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Here he moves into advanced stances and moving targets. Thought a pistol was for just 25-40 meters? Not so. In this book he moves forward into moving targets, stances involved in moving targets, self teaching basics (alot of this book is self teaching methods) and long distance pistol shooting. A logical progression in self taught handgunning, it's a primer. If you taught yourself to shoot with "How to become a Master Handgunner" , "Advanced Master Handgunning" is the next step : the Class 102. You will learn skills not covered in book1 ( long distance shooting) and hone skills taught earlier (self teaching, ect). A solid follow up to a great newbie guide.
