5 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it is supposed to   June 10, 2005

I purchased this book/cd for the 'Fast & Funky warm up' because I needed a self contained vocal warmup I could do in my car. The warm up is easy to follow, does a great job of getting you ready to sing and can be run from you computer as well as a standard audio CD. I was also very pleased to find a wealth of useful information in the book beyond the warm up. I am using a number of other books and cd's, but none of them include some of the practical advise contained in this book. This should not be your only source for vocal training, but it should definately your first and in your library.

I have been using the vocal CD exercises and studying the chapers in the book about a year. I noticed a difference within two weeks of beginning the vocal exercises.

This product has helped me increase my range both high and low and my breath control. I have increased my vocal strength and stamina. I now have the ability to sing much more difficult songs than I previously sang before I began using the CD warm ups.

I faithfully use these products at least three times a week or
more and my voice continues to get stronger each month.

I would strongly recommend these products to anyone who wants to just sound better or someone who wants to pursue a career as a professional singer. The book actually teaches you how the voice works and how sound is made. When you understand how the voice works, you will be able to increase your tone, power and vocal control and maybe have the confidence to try out for the next talent contest or just know you sound good.

I will continue to use these products for a lifetime. I now have the ability and confidence to consider a career as a professional singer. Thank you for the opportunity to use these products.

5 out of 5 stars Loved this funky warm-up!   January 30, 2003

This book was just what it claims to be - great easy to read information with a unique warm-up to warm-up your voice. It is different than anything I have ever heard so it took me a second to get it and get into it. Now I use it every day. Recommend it to anyone that wants to learn more about their voice or warm-up to something besides the piano and scales!

1 out of 5 stars Not worth [$$], much less [$$]   January 17, 2003

Don't waste your money on this product. While the vocal exercises on the CD do provide an adequate warm-up for your voice, the "funky" music and sound effects that accompany it are so irritatingly juvenile and ridiculous that you'll never want to hear it again. I listened to it once and threw the CD in the trash in disgust. The booklet has about as much information about proper vocal technique as you could find on a single Web page on the subject. I found the whole thing terribly disappointing and a big waste of my money.
