5 out of 5 stars Slingshot Shooting - Must Read for Slingshots...... and   July 23, 2007

the context/ideas/tips etc. can be applied to lot's of things... not just slingshots. I think anyone interested in shooting of any type has a lot to gain from reading this book. And of course, when it comes to slingshots, it is very complete.

5 out of 5 stars Best serious treatment of the slingshot that I ever read   November 8, 2006

Most of these books on home cobbled weapons, are sensationalistic ramblings of someone that wants to sell books. This is the first really serious treatment on the slingshot that I have ever read. Mr Koehler goes into details that most folks would not. He also does not overplay the effectiveness of the slingshot. At no time does he promote pot hunting of animals larger than the logical limits of a weapon that at best developes 250 to 300 fps. The one suggestion of big game hunting with a slingshot was with paintballs to allow the fun of the stalk without taking a life. His treatment of gradually gaining skill with these simple weapons is thorough. I recomend this book to anyone that is tired of noisy, loud, and expensive.

5 out of 5 stars An experienced slingshot shooter at his best   March 15, 2006

Koehler wrote an excellent introduction to slingshot design, shooting (both turnament and hunting). I believe he is shooter who penetrated really deep into the mystery of slingshot shooting - I was convinced by his chapter about aiming (besides others)- he writes about possibility of negative dominancy of rhytm over conscious aiming. I have come to this insight only after couple of years. I fully recommend this simply written book with many profound insights.
