Product Description On the front lines of the global war on terror, CIA superagent Mitch Rapp races to save one more life: his own.An eye for an eye: that's what the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands in retribution -- and with his hate-filled plea, Mitch Rapp becomes the target of an explosive international conspiracy. The fearless operative has both killed with impunity and tortured to avert disaster, all in a battle to preserve freedom. But even among America's allies, some believe the time has come to bring Rapp down. Now the hunter is the hunted, and Rapp must rely on his razor-sharp instincts for survival -- and justice -- as he unleashes his fury on those who have betrayed him.

Barn Burner! November 20, 2008 I have read all of Vince Flynn's books.(including his latest "extreme measures")If it is a Flynn novel buy it! Be warned, you will stay up all night reading!
a lot of Fun November 6, 2008 This was my first Flynn book but it certainly won't be my last! I travel a lot so having something entertaining on my Kindle at all times is a must and Flynn meets fits the bill (and then some!). I found I couldn't put it down so you may want to make sure you start reading on a work night. If you like good, fast paced reads, then check Flynn out; Cussler, Paterson and Johansen are among my favorites and I now I've added Flynn to that list. I just bought 4 others. Enjoy!
The Assassination of Mitch Rapp October 22, 2008 Fete of Death "Consent to Kill" is one of Vince Flynn's better thrillers starring the brutal CIA hit man Mitch Rapp. Flynn is neither a great writer nor an exceptional stylist, but he tells a great high-concept story, which is a sine qua non in the thriller genre.
In "Consent to Kill," Rapp is put on a hit list by a Middle Eastern potentate seeking revenge. Throughout the book Rapp must survive attempts on his life and also attempts by duplicitous power-hungry American politicians to sully his reputation in Washington. One assassin in particular, a German who doesn't fail his assignments, has Rapp's number. He even succeeds in killing Rapp's wife--by accident. Rapp was supposed to die in her place. Speaking of revenge, now Rapp has revenge on his mind. Devastated by his wife's loss, he seeks her murderer with a single-minded ruthlessness that only Rapp could be capable of.
This is a deft thriller that in many ways reminds me of Frederick Forsyth's classic "Day of the Jackal" with its intricate detailing of the manner in which a professional hit man goes about his business.
--Bryan Cassiday, author of "Fete of Death"
A Page Turner October 7, 2008 My first Flynn novel, definitely not my last. Kept me turning pages (clicking on my Kindle) while family around me welcomed in my new grandaughter.
Vengence Achieved September 16, 2008 America's hero CIA assassin Mitch Rapp along with CIA Director Irene Kennedy are unbeatable! They totally bypass the wimps in The Administration who are more concerned with pretenses than the reality of the war on terrorism. Namely the naive appeasers are Kennedy's new boss, Mark Ross, Director of National Intelligence as well as the Secretary of State and the Attorney General. The President doesn't wimp out. Basically the plot is about a Saudi Prince who puts out a $20 million contract to eliminate Rapp. Other Saudi royalty are also involved. The attempted murder is brokered by a former Stasi agent who comes up with a team of two fascinating killers who are recommended by a former KGB handler. The male/female team has a former member of the French Foreign Legion and his brilliant girlfriend. They nearly succeed in getting Rapp. Rapp recovers from serious wounds and dramatically gets rid of the bad guys. Tremendous, quick, gripping read even at 675 pages. I have enjoyed all books in this series. But think this one is the best.
