Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Have you ever wondered what secrets lurk behind the closed doors of New York City's wealthiest families? They're powerful, they're famous... they're undead.

Schuyler Van Alen's blood legacy has just been called into question--is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.

When one of the Gates of Hell is breached by Silver Bloods in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high; the battle is bloody; and through it all, Carnavale rages on. And in the end, one vampire's secret identity will be exposed in a revelation that shocks everyone.

4 out of 5 stars Setting up for a good 4th book   November 22, 2008
Though this isn't my favorite out of the three, it is still a good read. It also set up a lot interesting things for the 4th book and also made me very happy in parts and want to cry during others. There are alot of shockers.

4 out of 5 stars Revelations revealed.......   November 19, 2008
I liked the book, but i didnt like it better than Masquerade. I don't know i expected things to move at a much faster pace, it feels like nothing much happened in this one.
i cant say more without posting a spoilert and i don't like posting spoilers. so you'll have to read and make a choice for yourself.
I love this series and will wait for teh next one to determine if i keep on reading the series or not.
but i do love Sky and Oliver and i would hate to not read about them anymore.
But Yeah Masquerade is much better.

3 out of 5 stars Could have been better   November 19, 2008
Revelations didn't live up to what I thought it was going - and the possibilities are endless for these characters. Schulyer still has feelings for Jack and vice versa - much to the dismay of his "twin" Mimi -who is in a rush to speed up her bonding ceremony (aka wedding to red bloods) with Jack to force Schuyler out of the picture for good. That part of the book I liked. I was confused about other happenings with the Silver Bloods and the ending confused me as well. I'll read the next book just to find out what happens since I've already read the first 3 but this isn't a series that lives up to it's hype in my opinion.

4 out of 5 stars Not much seems to happen until the last 10 pages   November 16, 2008
Review may have some spoilage:
This series has a lot going for it, an interesting take on Vampires/Angel, immortals who can die but are reborn thru reincarnation. The previous two books were excellent, and this one has its moments, but just sort of seems to talk around the issues, rather than meet them head on. The last little bit of the book is really good but it is way to short: the battle scenes at the party and at the Redeemer, as well as the 'make up hook-up' between the twins at the end. It has fewer of those breezy Gossip Girl moments that brought a lot of the humor to the previous books in the series, but really misses some chances to replace it with some real emotional connection. This is probably a 3 1/2 more than a 4, but benefit of the doubt and encourage others to pick up on this series, so we can hopefully get some more/longer additions to the series.

4 out of 5 stars Some Melissa de la Cruz love...all the way   November 15, 2008

**SPOILERS**

Don't say I didn't warn you!!

I absolutely LOVE Melissa de la Cruz and the Blue Bloods Series. I discovered her books after I finished reading the Twilight series and wanted to read more vampire novels (what can I say I get hooked on "themes"). Anyways I completely fell in love with the series. I loved that Melissa continued with her ideas of travelling to exotic and beautiful places...I mean come on, Brazil!!!...OMG...and then everything that happened there!!! I just knew it was coming but I didn't want to admit it to myself.
But I do have some suspicions...as to why Jack didn't go to Brazil with Mimi...it seems like he might have known what would happen. And if something did happen to her, then there wouldn't be anyone to stop Jack and Schuyler from being together!!!...HMMM. Obviously, if he would've known that Schuyler was planning on going, then I know he would have gone also.
This book is a HUGE Cliffhanger...I think even more so than the first or second book. I felt like I had more questions than answers at the end of this book...not that that's a bad thing because there are more books coming. And I'm glad that Melissa de la Cruz isn't afraid to kill off some characters in her books. I mean, yea it's sad (because it feels like someone you know died!) but that takes guts, because life isn't perfect and the books reflect that struggle.
Major kudos and props to Melissa for another amazing book! Thanks for my new addiction.
I'm just going to be DYING for the next book to come out...but you know, no biggie. :D
