Product Description
Window top treatments - swags, valances, and cornices - are very popular DIY home-decor projects. Quick and easy to sew, they soften and finish off a window and often are combined with blinds, curtains, or drapes. The Complete Photo Guide to Window Top Treatments is the only book that tells how to choose the right style and construct it step by step. Color photographs show twenty top treatments in a variety of room settings, fabrics, and decorative hardware. Each window treatment has detailed, step-by-step instructions for measuring the window, calculating yardage, cutting, sewing, and installing. Following in the tradition of CPi's Windows with Style and Creative Window Treatments, The Complete Photo Guide to Window Top Treatments launches a new how-to series of window decor books.

Pretty helpful for a beginner sewer January 20, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a beginner sewer, I found the book to be pretty comprehensive with its instructions. There are a few treatments which are beyond my abilities at this point. My only complaints about the book would be that some of the sewing terms were not explained in the glossary and there were no photos of the finished products.
Clear, concise and helpful November 14, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The designs are great. There are good, clear pictures throughout the book, How-to directions are easy to understand. The only flaw is there are no pictures of the final product at the end of the how-to tutorials. After following the directions and pictures for the how-to sections, there are no pictures of the final product. It would be more helpful to see a picture of the final product to get a better idea of what the window treatment should look like when completed.
A How To Book July 15, 2007 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I combined several books for both ideas and how to guides. Window Top Treatments is an excellent resource for a nice variety of ideas, many of which are classic window treatments, but the how to instructions are definitely worth the purchase.

Very nice book with easy to follow instructions. Great photos. I haven't made anything yet, but I have looked through the book. I can't wait to get started.
