From the supplier: Candidates who run independently or carry the banner of a third party tend to feel that election laws are skewered against them. They also believe that they do not get sufficient respect from the media. Nonetheless, many independent and third-party candidates still try their luck in the political arena despite having less funding and limited media coverage. A survey of these candidates shows that their sources of funding tend to come from personal funds and loans as opposed to fundraising campaigns.
