Product Description
The inspirational classic that has sold over 250,000 copies! In this classic work, Eric Butterworth sees the divine within us all to be a hidden and untapped resource of limitless abundance. Exploring this "depth potential," Butterworth outlines ways in which we can release the power locked within us and let our "light shine." "There is only one way under the sun by which a man can achieve his 'Mt. Olympus' -- that is to say, achieve the realization and unfoldment of his own innate divinity -- and that is by bringing about a radical and permanent change for the better in his own consciousness," writes Butterworth. Butterworth demonstrates that the existence of this divine dimension in each individual is the greatest discovery of all time. He explains the universality of such vital subjects as: how to succeed; how to pray; how to find confidence; how to overcome personal problems; and how to find healing. With insight and sensitivity, Butterworth opens new doors of self-knowledge, and outlines ways in which we can release the power within.

Removes the Shackles of Religious Dogma November 25, 2008 This book broke new ground for me. I have read many, many, books and new ground is rarely reached! I agree with another review that it had many Bible quotes,BUT in the context of this book, you see them much more clearly than ever. It is NOT a religious book, even if it does quote the Bible. What Dr Butterworth does is refers to "the writing in red" and the deeper truths spoken by Jesus Christ, bypassing the pulpit and any religious agendas. Christ's teachings spoken truth(s) persevere, even as they are scrutinized in todays "sciences" that did not exist in his day (Quantum Physics for instance) So, you can sit down in a joyous state and read words of truth, losing the guilt and social parameters of church and religion. I never could be called a Jesus Freak, but I have come to realize, he said it best when it comes to all areas of our spiritual lives. Sitting down with this book is like getting first hand meaning and clearing up any confusion about spiritual laws like "The meek shall inherit the Earth." I bet, especially if you made it to church every Sunday, you will gain a new and clearer understanding that has been right underneath you all along. Do yourself and those you love a favor and read the book. You will be a different and better person of understanding. Great Job Butterworth!
So Simple...Yet So Powerful! September 7, 2008 How Many Times Have We Desperately Searched Outside of Ourselves...Only To Realize That We Need To Slow Down, Be Still, & Become Truly Conscious! A Great Read! Rebecca K. Drnjevic Author~Yeah Buts The Little Book of Big Excuses
'Weekend Warrior" missed the point July 8, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book is spiritual yes, however religious NO. There is not one religion or doctrine centered in this writing. In fact, it is about your becoming and remaining connected with GOD. How we work with the power within not without (ie religions) is what makes the difference. The author centers on the life of the Christ not from a religious stand point but as a demonstration of what man is capable of. GOD didn't create Christianity, Buddhism, Judiasm, Islam, Taoism, or any other religion...man did.
I encourage persons reading these critiques to look at what others have written. Our lives are what we make it. Connecting with GOD as our source changes us from being a victim to an individual that has found and helps to create "Peace on Earth".
Discover the Power Within You February 15, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you are looking to escape organized religions' continuous pajorative thinking and limits towards humanity, Eric Butterworth sums up the writting of Jesus the Christ into what was truly meant! We have all the abilities of Jesus...We simply have to remember the true meaning of Jesus' words. Eric Butterworth sorts through all the religious bias and man dominated thinking of our history, and explains in plain English the exact message Jesus was attempting to clear up about the Christ within us all!
Awesome book! February 14, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book is awesome it just goes a bit more in depth than the other book I read called the Error of Job. Both had the same principle in mind.
