Condition: NOT the Kessinger reprint. Scarce. Sewn binding, wraps (paper covers). Title page indicates "Sixth Edition, Enlarged," but I suspect it may be the only printing, apparently self-published (by the "Psychic Publishing Co."). Clean text. Front cover is detached but present; verso has bookplate of physician and author Milton Arlanden Bridges, and frontispiece bears his signature in pencil. Spine ends chipped; paper label on spine also chipped along sides. Part science-fiction, part romance novel, the story deals with hypnotism, ESP, and other subjects of pseudo-scientific turn-of-the-century occult/spiritualist obsession. With an introduction so fulsome in its praise as to suggest the author's "involvement." Ships snugly packaged in a box.

Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Wraps. Part science-fiction, part romance novel, the story deals with hypnotism, ESP, and other subjects of turn-of -the-century occult/pseudo-science obsession. With an introduction so fulsome as to suggest the author's "involvement." From the intro: "Where in the history of literature do you find an author who has had the daring, originality and audacity to allow his hero to marry his own daughter, then has her elope with her own brother, and yet possess the genius to so shape his story as to violate no sense of propriety? Such is the case in this remarkable book, which will appeal to all classes, as it embodies every emotion and situation known to humanity."
