| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Categories within the retailing industry have changed in the past decade, adapting to changing consumer demands. Consolidation has occurred among general merchandisers. In addition, specialty stores and high volume discounters now are formidable industry players. This proceedings notes ways to identify winning strategies, companies, and separate those retailers who are capable of responding to a rapidly changing environment. It includes discussions of demographic trends as well as using economic data.

| Customer Reviews:
Very good... 10 years ago December 4, 2008 Steer clear from this one if you are looking for up-to-date insight on this complex industry. While providing useful insights on key players, this compendium of notes refers too much to specific events of over 10 years ago. Definetely not something you want to follow for a fresh view of the industry.
