Good all around book for hiking trails, eastern oriented. December 23, 1997

While the info is somewhat dated (1981) and it's very eastern footpath focused, it is a good book with lots of tool and equipment sources and bibliography. Lots of illustrations, some photos. Looks like a 3rd edition is coming out in 1998.
