The authors carefully define what results are based on scientific evidence and what results are based on experience or general opinion. In this way, they provide the most complete information possible on control of this problematic insect. The Bed Bug Handbook is a fine example of scientfic application for practical benefit and it points out the huge research gaps that remain in our understanding of this pest.
