| Customer Reviews:
Good basic starter book October 29, 2007 This is a little less useful for those of you who limit youselves only to light and ultralight backpack camping, but for everyone else, it is a good resource. I checked this out from the public library and decided to order it so I could have a copy anytime I wanted it. I loved the section on bannock bread, and I am ready to go out and get a dutch oven just to try the recipes contained in that section. There is also sections on baking, using sourdough, and aluminum foil cooking. It covers several types of cooking from a simple camp stove, and open-fire, to cooking using a sheepherders stove and pit cooking. There is even a section on smoking food. A really interesting book and I'm glad I have it.
