Product Description The Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Values is a softcover reference and value guide for modern black powder firearms. With 96 pages of B&W value pricing and model information, and over 24 pages of color, this book is designed as the sequel to Colt Blackpowder Reproductions and Replicas, in addition to being another stand alone Blue Book title. This book contains the most up-to-date information and pricing on almost all modern black powder firearms.

Reference guide May 28, 2008 I purchased this book more as a reference guide for Colt's 2nd generation blackpowder pistols than as a Blue Book of values. For this purpose I found the book to be very helpful identifying the various models and production numbers and dates etc. As to the stated Blue Book values, I'm no expert and leave that to those that are.
what a great book November 19, 2005 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
The Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Values is virtually a one-stop shopping center for up-to-date information and prices on most recently manufactured black powder reproductions and replicas. Most of the information is simply not available anywhere else, at any price!
Blue Book of Modern Black Powder Values July 1, 2002 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
This book is so full of errors and misinformation that it is totally useless to the collector of modern production replica black powder revolvers. In collecting replica revolvers the markiings on the gun is what makes one more valuable than another. This is a very new field of collecting and there is still much to be learned. It is for this reason that this book does more harm than good. Where does the author get his values? Why would a Uberti revolver from one distributor be valued differently than another when they are both marked the same. The book does not even list the most valuable variations. It appears the the "Blue Book of Values" has just come up with a way to produce another book by removing the black powder section from the original Blue Book and publishing it as a separate book. Values listed mean nothing and should not be used to determine values of replica black powder percussion revolvers. Dr. Jim L. Davis, Founder and President of the Replica Percussion Revolver Collector's Association, an international collector's association.
