Product Description The Ultra Light Sonic Bark Control unit emits a loud sound that startles your dog, disrupting his barking and discouraging him from continuing. While very effective, it is perfectly harmless. The Ultra Light Sonic Bark Control unit, the lightest and smallest on the market, attaches to your dog's existing collar, so he doesn't have to wear a second collar. Adjustable sensitivity level allows you to adjust the system to your dog's unique bark. Complete system includes: Receiver (1 oz., 1.9 cubic inches): can be attached to your dog's existing collar (one inch width or less, non-metallic). Operations manual. Training manual. Training video. 6-volt battery module. Includes operations manual, training manual, and training video. Assembled in the United States from components made in the United States and China.

Don't waste your money on this August 23, 2008 Seems like my feedback isn't really going to add anything here because it's the same as everyone else's.
This collar beeps when my dogs do everything except bark. When they shake, play, bump into something, scratch themselves, etc. I have only heard it beep once when they were actually barking, and it was after they had already barked 3 or 4 times.
I know after having them for only a few hours that they are useless. It has to be perfectly consistent and only beep when the dogs bark in order for it to reinforce the training. Good thing I kept all of the packaging in order because they are going back!!
Petsafe PUSB-300 Sonic Bark Collar July 17, 2008 Product performed well when we first used it on our mini schnauzer, who is a real barker. However it would trigger itself at times, especially when in a car. We had to remove it from our dog while driving in our van and it continued to go off until we finally removed the battery.
Must be an electrical frequency issue, but when it works correctly it is good.
Too sensitive to noise February 18, 2008 I like the idea of this product. It however is too sensetive to the dog moving and shaking his head. It works well only if it corrects when he is barking, but it fails in that regard. You should use it only with a collar that makes absolutely no noise or it's purpose is defeated.I would not recommend base on my use.
Great idea in theory, lousy results in practice. December 3, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've pretty much tried everything to stop my 6 month poodle from incessant whining. Group lessons, private lessons, positive enforcement, ignoring whining in the crate, banging, etc. The problem is my puppy is overly attached to people, and "overly socialized" where he's not afraid of any sound (not afraid of cars, motorcycles, etc). The whining creates a lot of strains with my neighbors and at my workplace and something got to be done about it.
I bought this device from Petsmart hoping it would work. Nope. Sound simply doesn't work on a puppy who is not afraid of sound or anything else. This device would work well on fearful dogs but not mine which has been "overly socialized." I also tried the top of the line shock collar. No cigar. These devices simply create more anxiety and escalates whining. Good thing Petsmart has a good return policy and I got my money back.
Fortunately, the Gentle Spray Bark Control device works instantly. He hates the smell and the surprise; the moment the spray activates, he stops whining. In contrast, the Petsafe beeper would beep along with the whining, which is really annoying.
Shock and sound are a thing in the past. The most effective tool is the citronella spray (e.g. Gentle Spray).
It might work for some dogs September 6, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The collar sounded off loud and clear whenever our dog shook her head. It didn't sound off when she barked. No changes to the sensitivity made any difference. Pretty much a useless product unless you want your dog to stop shaking its head.
