It only moves counter-clockwise. After it throws, it releases the bird at 12:00 and then the arm rests at the 9:00 position (no wobbling). To set it again, you only have to move it from the 9:00 to the 6:00 position. This takes much less effort than a standard trap because the spring is already 1/2 way pulled back. Throws approximately 100 yards. As a general rule, a 12 year old who can put his feet down on the ground can handle a 3/4 cock trap by himself.
