Deeper knowledge about gun - or improvement it - knowing limitation - it is small science and special profession Gunsmith trade - which require longer time for study. Together with another book, Do-It-Yourself Gun Repair: Gunsmithing at Home (Outdoorsman's Edge) , which I recommend too, you can find many answer and way HOW to improve your sport or hunting tool. No one book can not cover all that problems and details what you can potentially find with a gun.. I found this book as very practical with so many advices. This books can help in your selection for purchase some new gun, or improvement some not too nice gun what you already have inside your cabinet.

This book shows how to handle many gunsmithing tasks without having to own a mill or lathe. It has very easy to follow instruction's with photos and covers a wide range of topics. Shop set up , tools and tooling , cleaning , bedding ,accurizing ,finishing, and building your own rifle custom rifle are just a few of the things covered. For the guy who doesn't have access to a mill and lathe but wants to do his own gunsmithing at home this is the book I would recomend. Good hunting KH

This old timer is crusty but good. He gets down to the level of most of us with his talk and pictures about starting out on the kitchen table to building your own shop. He is not afraid to tell when expensive products can be made or a less costly substitutes do just as well. I am a light gunsmith and gun cleaner and was looking for some help with tools and techniques. In the process I purchased a number of the leading books on gunsmithing. Most of them do not live up to their advertising, this one does.
