2 out of 5 stars an easy 4 hour read   November 25, 2008
you can read this book in 4 hours...so...get it from the library, or used for 35 cents!

my only comment: i found it interesting that she discussed her nose job several times, but didn't mention a thing about those huge monstrous [sp?] b**bs of hers. how could she leave that out??

1 out of 5 stars sTori Telling   November 25, 2008
Well, I watched the Tori Spelling sitcom So NoTORIous which I enjoyed and I saw a few episodes of her reality show with her husband Tori& Dean: Inn Love which was so- so. I had never watched even one episode of 90210 so I got this book with interest mostly from all the " talk" and publicity about her famous rich father Aaron Spelling and what I had heard about her mother, Candy and her mansion filled with rooms for every little thing. One room was only for gift wrapping and one room was for all the dolls that were given every Christmas to little Tori growing up and whisked away right after opening not to be touched or played with. So, if you are interested in this STAR or PEOPLE magazine type entertainment; then this is the book for you. Tori seems to be trying to be honest and it is interesting on the TABLOID part of life but I kind of got the feeling after reading it that she was writing this book to make a buck somewhat like the Inn and hot dog idea. (they opened a B&B Inn at one point and had that be their reality show because they needed money and were not getting acting roles often and then on one episode started to come up with an idea of having hot dog "bistros" with many dip sauces. Sounded kind of desperate to me. Anyway, it was like reading a long PEOPLE article. I say, rent it at the library. One tag was a little generous.

3 out of 5 stars Entertaining Enough   November 25, 2008
Good but gets annoying towards the end when she meets Dean and gushes non-stop about their love. Also, her mom-bashing gets to be annoying. She comes across as spoiled and selfish. She rails against her mother for not treating her father with the proper respect, yet she herself didn't visit him for a whole 9 months when he was sick. That's a long time not to visit your dad in a hospital that's not very far away. Poor guy.

4 out of 5 stars Torri's Stories   November 25, 2008
I never knew much about Torri, but I found Tori so down to earth on her show. In one of the episodes she went to a book signing where she promoted sTORI Telling and I decided that I was intrigued enough to buy the book.

Bobby Brown, another compelling biography!!!
Imagine being in one of the most successful boy bands of all time, New Edition; Then leave the group to become one of the biggest pop stars in the world; Date some of the most world renown celebrities, such as Janet Jackson and Madonna.....Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But...

4 out of 5 stars Good, hard to put down   November 22, 2008
This is a really good book. I read it compulsively, harldy putting it down. Tori Spelling is a total comedian, who knew? While she does tell a lot of stories about her mom and dad, it's not in the totally spoiled brat, repressed childhood way I thought it would be. Obviously she has issues with her mom, and maybe some of those are her fault, some are clearly not. She borders a little bit on self-obsessed a few times when criticizing her family, but she's got a point when she says that being Aaron Spelling's daught was a double edged sword for her. She's truly very funny and seems to finally have a wonderful life and family. I am happy for her and even enjoy her show on Oxygen.
