Excellent Bird Carving book July 1, 2005 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is one of the best books I've seen on carving Songbirds. It covers not only the equipment, etc., required, but it's an excellent textbook on bird anatomy, the basis for any bird or animal carving.
And the wonderful directions carry through the book through all projects including the painting. Woodcarver/Reviewer Texas
Comprehensive, well written, and great photos and graphics March 19, 2005 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I have a number of excellent books on bird carving, but I must say that this book is one of the best wriien and easy to read books in my library. The writing style is wonderful and the organization and flow of material is well thought out. This is one of those "must have" books for any bird carver. The amount of detail and wide range of subject matter was what impressed me. I got so much more than I expected.
