Read it from front to back December 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this whole book and found an endless supply of knowledge and tips. I have not actually put them all to the test but if what is said works, this book is priceless
Indepth, practical advice! November 19, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you are seriously committed to improving your credit score, this book provides real, actionable advice to achieve that goal. The nature of credit reporting is confusing and ambiguous at best, and this book cuts through the haze of mis-information and provides an action plan to improve your financial resources.
The book is clearly written, and is the most comprehensive resource I have been able to find anywhere on the subject. After reading the book, you will have the knowledge to improve your credit and properly manage it going forward. Credit card companies are excellent at handcuffing consumers with massive interest charges and terms that favor only the Credit Card companies. The book provides the key to take the cuffs off. The knowledge you will gain is worth the price of the book many, many times over.
buy this book no matter what! October 8, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Highly recommended. This book is extremely helpful in helping you clear up all of your credit reports- accurante or inaccurate information. Sample letters and everything you need are in the book. MUST BUY!
Fantastic Book! September 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read several books dealing with the subject of credit, credit scoring, and credit repair, and I believe BestCredit by Dana Neal to be the most informative book on the subject that I have ever read. The book is ideal for anyone who wishes to know more about the subject of credit. The information will be helpful regardless of whether you have excellent credit or not. If you have average or below average credit scores, this book may be very helpful in providing you with practical advice on how to improve your credit scores. For others who may have unsatisfied financial obligations, the book offers advice on how you might negotiate settlement of a debt in addition to attaining favorable or neutral reporting for the account! The techniques may be particularly useful for those who have not yet negotiated and agreed upon a settlement.
I have used the knowledge and information I gained from reading this book to enhance my own credit profile considerably! I had lost all hope in two unfavorable tradelines on my credit report incurred during a temporary financial setback several years ago. I had consigned myself with living with the damage that these two derogatory entries had caused me (and believe me, even a paid charge off will ruin you!). Using Mr. Neal's book as a reference, I have been able to effectively negotiate complete deletion of one of these two tradelines entirely from each of my "big three" credit reports! This fact alone makes BestCredit an outstanding and indispensible book that has taught me how to take control of my financial life!
Perhaps the greatest single praise I can give is to the author himself. I contacted him through email and was surprised to maintain a correspondence related to specific questions I posed concerning my unique credit problems! I even talked with him on the phone! I wish any interested and proactive person the best of success with his or her efforts to improve financial and credit profile.
If you need to correct your credit, buy this book. September 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was amazed to learn how the Credit Reporting Agencies work, and Dana gives you the lowdown on how they go about the business of giving YOU the business. If there is any time to be an educated consumer who has credit problems, it`s now. Dana Neal has written a very understandable, easy to read "manual" on fixing credit reporting mistakes, and how to make the rules work for you. I can`t recommend this book enough, a "must buy" for the "do-it-yourselfer".
