Great introduction December 1, 2006 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
Learning a martial art using a book is never easy, but this book is a superb introduction to Krav-Maga, and the key moves that make are the basis for the sport. It is clear, very nicely illustrated and very accurate. It does not include every last little move, but it has all the important stuff.
The style is clean and elegant.
Very good book November 24, 2006 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
i don't agree.I felt this book was very good .Easy, simple and technically very good. I knew krav-maga already and this book helped me practicing these techniques. It also gave my friends a pretty idea of what krav maga is.I'm waiting for next book of this author, very impatiently
Whats really Real November 15, 2006 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book is very basic and very very standard stuff it makes me wish I could go back and change my review of Paul Vunaks "Anatomy of a Streetfight" and give him a higher score because he puts alot more useful info in his book. I really wasn't impressed by this book you would be better off buying Paul Vunak's book or even Diallo Frazier's "Revelations of a Warrior"
little information November 7, 2006 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
in the early days when people wrote karate books they gave little useful information and just wanted to whet your whistle.Unfortunately this is a throwback to the olden days of karate books.I found it a total waste of money and time.I bought the book to learn more krav maga unarmed self defense techniques.this book has only 2 techniques about people attacking you unarmed.it does have a few more gun and knife self defense techniques but david kahns and sid im have written books that cover these topics in much, much greater detail and for about the same price.Get these 2 books and dont waste your money
