Girl Book January 18, 2008 Add this to your young lady's library today! This book is great to read together and fosters disussing best ways to handle situations that occur in the teen life. There are always more than one road to get to the castle...so help your daughter see options in choosing the right road for her in what could be major problems.

My ten-year-old daughter enjoyed this book and finished the quizzes in one evening. The book covers different scenarios, such as school, home, friends, etc. and gives a dilemma with three multiple choice answers to choose from on how you would solve the dilemma. Then you add up the answers and it gives you a mini personality profile. I actually found out a few things about my daughter by reading the responses she chose.
Not enough discussion included November 21, 2007 This was a great concept for a book, but I don't think it lived up to its potential. My daughter (age 9) skimmed through it in just a few minutes and didn't really want to "take" the quizzes. I think a bit more discussion around the "situations" would have been helpful to guide her reading.
buy it! March 15, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My daughter is 9 and wouldn't put it down. Just like all the other american girl books!
Great book for young girls February 7, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My daughter (11) has just about worn the cover off the book. A child does not have to have American Girl dolls to benefit from this book. It is written to teach them about being a girl. The advice is sound, and it is well written. I am pleased that she has gotten so much use out of the book. She often talks to us about topics in the book, and it is good that it enables the communication process to happen.
