3 out of 5 stars Lacks inspiration   April 11, 2008

The idea is good but the designs did not go as far in developing the idea as I had hoped. I have come up with more flattering and funner styles with this method all on my own. Will sell this book or donate to the city library.

Nothing in here I would wear much less knit. Everything is shapeless and no classy designs.

I gave this book to a good friend of mine.
She loved it.
She is an enthusiastic knitter and was very happy to receive this book.
She also lives in the Connecticut and has heard and read about Susan, Guagliuni, the Author, in our local newspaper, The New Haven Register.

Generally liked the book, basically all the sweaters are made the same except for type of stitches. There is a small bit of info after in the book about converting the patterns for machine knitting. As a machine knitter, I was hoping for more on machine knit patterns. This is a good reference book in which you can take almost any sweater design and make it cuff to cuff. A nice edition to my knitting library.

This is a fun book, easily done, for the most part, with some knitting challenges for an advanced beginner. The concept of cuff to cuff knitting is great fun, and easily adapted to fit a variety of body shapes and sizes.
