An evolving work July 12, 2004 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I haven't found this on anyone's "recommended lists", so I wanted to do a review on it. Kill me, Kiss me is not something you are going to lose yourself in. Not like Gravitation. (If you are reading this, and haven't gotten Gravitation, go get that and then think of getting this.) Once getting past the story's first few pages, things will fall into place nicely. I read the first few pages, and cast it aside. I picked it up again out of pity, and read non stop through the second volume. The art is splendid. I love this art style. The story is interesting, but it suffers a little from character overload. It switches around too. You get attached to someone, and then Lee Young Yuu decides to introduce someone else. It's a little aggravating I guess. : ) Another thing that hurts the story is that it moves way too quickly. I like the characters, except they seem a bit inconsistent at times. But, it's an evolving story, and it improves with every page. It's nice to have this while I'm in between mangas, waiting for the next Gravitation to come out. It was fun, and I will give volume 3 a chance to hook me.
meh.. June 12, 2004 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Not the best crossdressing manga [or manhua] out there, frankly. The artwork is fair, if you're an aestheticist, and the plot is kind of contrived. Entertaining enough [I guess] for a light read, but not too much substance in this one. I haven't bothered with the second volume; it might pick up, I don't know.
Great read February 26, 2004 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
A new slew of manga are coming out, with girls pretending to be boys but this one, if you buy any, is one you should check out, just for the orginality.Tae pretends to be a boy to go to her cousin's school with her crush, the idol Kun goes to school, while her cousin goes to her school. What i enjoyed was that she was immediatly discovered, and they both wreck chaos on each other's lives. It was rather cute, and the artwork is very nice, not the most beautiful, but it achieves its purpose and the guys are beautiful. The friendships between the 4 main characters is interesting with not a perfect relationship, and i will buying the next volume without a doubt.
Great Story! February 7, 2004 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's been done! Girl Pretends to be Boy so that she can get close to the man of her dreams, but this one has a few twists! I really enjoyed volume 1 and I'm looking forward to future volumes. The illustrations are great! You definatly won't be disappointed!
