I have never been a relationship book reader until this one. It is inspirational and I want all of my friends and family to read it. I have never been so personally affected by a book until now.
I will read parts of this book forever to help me with day to day relationships of all kinds!

I think this book is awful. Hard read and way too much about finding the 'spirit'. If I needed that kind of read-can go to synagoue to find the same damn stuff.
kathy Freston needs to get a life and do something other than write books.
She is by no mean a "relationship" expert.
I also received "The Manual." Great book and gives you insight of how a man really thinks.

Purchased this book for my daughter after seeing the author on Oprah. Kathy Freston does a good job identifying what you first need to look at in yourself prior to looking for a mate. Fast and easy read with good examples of love relationships.
The book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman is an excellent choice for this genre and if you can only purchase one book I'd recommend the Chapman book over The One; Discovering the Secrets of Soul Mate Love.

I am enjoying reading the book. The author has some very interesting perspectives. I'm only half way finished, so I've still got lots more to read! Great book! I bought 3, one for myself, and one each for two of my single friends!
